Demoulding

• Peel, don’t pull. Gently peeling the silicone away from the piece instead of forcing it out helps prevent small tears and preserves delicate edges.
• Be mindful of sharp corners and tools. Fingernails or metal scrapers can damage the surface over time.
• Concrete and resins tend to be more abrasive and can cause wear with repeated use. Taking time during demoulding makes a big difference in reducing stress on the mold.

Washing

Cleaning molds after every use keeps them performing at their best.

• Wash by hand with warm water and a mild soap solution.
• Avoid harsh chemicals, dishwashers, or abrasive sponges. These can damage the surface and shorten the mold’s lifespan.
• Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before storing.
• When residue gets stuck in detailed areas, a soft brush or wooden stick usually helps loosen it without scratching.

Storage

Proper storage ensures molds keep their shape and stay ready for your next project.

• Keep molds flat or upright in their natural position. Never fold or store them turned inside out.
• After washing, always return the mold to its original shape immediately. Never leave it to dry in a twisted or folded position, as this can cause it to deform.
• Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
• Avoid placing heavy objects on top of molds to prevent distortion.
